Pretty goals house for me

It’s cool. Wonder what the thinking was with the tiny bedrooms.

Another reason to avoid all-glass facades

I thought it was a really neat floorplan. The bedrooms in this house are tiny, seeing that gives me hope that my upstairs is salvageable with a bit of care.

There are some interesting buildings around there. I dont know the history, but all of it is freehold, it looks like a lot of land was up for grabs in one go.

All moot, doesn’t appear I can get a mortgage for a £3.2m house 😥
-
• #4510
you’ll not get in the golf club thread with that attitude
-
• #4511
What do you mean, tiny? All of those bedrooms are bigger than ours.
-
• #4512
Really? What do you have to work with?
3m × ~3m is pretty much bare minimum for a double I thought, especially if you don’t have some kind of built in clothes storage solution.

We have two bedrooms - the one where we sleep is 2.7m sq and the other, which is used as an office, is 2.7m x 3m. Both have small closets.
-
• #4514
I know your kidding but the calculator wouldn’t let me add more than £1m as a deposit and that only gave me £2.7m mortgage - so presumably you need a minimum of 2? 💁🏻
-
• #4515
HSBC with a £1m deposit you need a household income of £400k before tax.
-
• #4516
Yeah good old hsbc - now just to find the rest of the money for the deposit!

Really pleased to read Bradford's iconic Richard Dunn Sports Centre has been listed and saved from planned demolition. Massive part of my childhood, must be 30 years since I was last there but remember the whole place so vividly.

Fuck knows what they'll do with it, mind.

that is awesome news. Great building. Hope its fortunes can be revived

Would be real simple to get custom made.
I could send some drawings to some fabricators we use central belt if you do measurements.

• #4521
I’d say they’re some otp solution from this photo. Not sure what though 🤷♂️

thanks for the offer lepaton - might take you up on that if we decide on a similar solution for our upper shelving/cabs

IKEA Platsa has some white metal frame units with option of open or with doors.
-
• #4524
Speaking of IKEA, is there an alternative to this that isn't from our Swedish monopolists? It's for accessories more than for shoes, shallowness is the key requirement.

Seems a bit odd that they weren’t able to keep the smooth underside as the rest of the cabinets or fix it flush to the wall
