Anyone after an Intel Macbook Pro? Very useful for running windows, which you can't do on an M1...

I’ve got an iPad Air 4 and use both chrome and safari on it, what’s the easiest way to merge the bookmarks? Everything I’ve read refers to menu items that only seem to exist on laptops/desktops. Yes, safari is switched on in iCloud.

I have a 16" MacBook of this spec for sale.
Lovely machine, only used 5 times, was my backup laptop for important work.
Good price to a nice forumer or forumer-friend.

I'm super happy with the Moshi iVisor on my 2019 16" MBP, wanted to recommend it to a friend who got the new 16" - yet it seems there is none for the new model.
Anybody knows of / uses an alternative on theirs that they can recommend? -
• #19158
I just stuck this one on mine. Seems just as good as the Moshi one and perhaps a bit thinner.

Speaking of protection, can anyone recommend a cover for the 2022 16" MBP? Ideally something that snaps on and protects top and bottom.
Or are they just dirt pits like some phone cases are?

Thanks @mattioats 👍

I mean something you snap on and keep there, not a sleeve

I just stuck this one on mine. Pretty dear, but the cheaper incase one was out of stock. About 3mm thick, feels nice and snug but only had it on a week or so, so can't comment on crumb collection. Makes it look a little like the titanium Powerbook G4.

get the Thule one
..are you thinking of the Thule Gauntlet one?
Do you have it / use it / are happy with it?
I realized that if I do have to bring my laptop somewhere I always need to bring a backback (with other stuff needed for the occasion) as well, so opted for something slimmer / less "rugged" (a Woolnut Leather Sleeve) as the MBP will be protected enough inside the rucksack anyway..
..still heard nothing but good things about the Thule and also like the design 👍 -

It’s not all discoloured more the exposed edges that have but you get the idea. I’d still buy another for my next Mac tbh

Is there a risk of dirt entering in the gaps?
I had this with a phone case. Dirt and debris made it way in between the case and the phone, then got stuck at the back. When I removed the case the back of the phone was literally full of tiny scratches. Tbh I think it would've kept better without a case

I mean maybe, but it’s defo better than if I didn’t have it on it.
Mine is in my workshop, studio, concrete floors etc so the based would be all sorts of bashed and scraped and covered in paint if I didn’t

does anyone have a good rec for a 2nd monitor (i have an 27" iMac)? Preferably one that can be rotated vertically sometimes if needed.
been looking at this but wondering if there is something a wee less pricey: LG QHD Monitor 27QN880 - 27 inch
edit: also given the height of the mac, maybe it needs to be 23-25"?

I had one of these. They look really good and the arm is great. I've now got the 32" version, which I use with an Apple TV. The plastic casing on the monitor is a little fragile, and for me the USBC port broke when I first used it, but the HDMI port is solid. You'll also need a Thunderbolt 4(?) cable to connect with USBC, the supplied cable didn't work with any of my Apple devices.

Theres a 4k version for the same price, but doesn't have the arm-clamp. This one rotates vertically as well though.
iMacs are 5k resolution, so the difference between that and a QHD would be really noticeable. Here it is:

cheers, yeah have also been looking at this DELL one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09CGY99X5/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
just really hard to know what will look nice alongside the iMAc. And whether I need something smaller ...
(somehow still the same price)
the choices are dizzying ... this is why I use apple products. 1-2 options per product.
That’s good to know. Never know how much stock to put in Amazon reviews, but they’re usually the only review you’re going to get which isn’t a sponsored website one..
