You said some dumb shit. Own it. The fact you can't see that says more about you. It's like listening to someone explain how they beat Arnie at arm wrestling then getting offended when you rightly take the piss

I'll join in the pile on because I've known Tenderloin irl for over 10 years and the guy is 10000% not a racist whereas you come across as a massive fucking bell end.
Fuck off and calm yourself down and then think about coming back less of a cunt

I don't even know what this was about.
Anyways time to move on, here is a picture of a fake rolex a friend of mine got as a gift.

Oh, thanks. I was looking for the watch thread, this must be it!
@nick_h. Don’t stir shit up all the time, let’s hate Rolex together 👍

• #63413
Can you guys all just stop hating Rolex. There's nothing wrong with Rolex in the right hands.
-
• #63414
Had this in my hands today, perfect proportions.

Classic story of almost everyone in this thread, but God I wish I'd bought one of those when I had the money they use to be sold for.
Don't even have the heart to see why current prices are.

• #63416
I prefer them with both hands
-
• #63417
This one was £8000. Nice example, full set. Some online are almost £10k. I’m nauseous, need to sit down.

I have a C24 search saved for polar dial 16550/16570s. Great watches.
-
• #63419
Jesus. I'm sure the ones I was looking at were £3-4k (2nd hand obvs).
Oh well I'll add that to the list of Rolex I won't own.
Also it always stuck me as the sort of watch that looked fine a bit ratty. But this is closing on £7k. And while paying £3k for a ratty luxury watch doesn't seem sensible. Double that seems nuts.
-
• #63420
Yeah… Tritium, so arguably more desirable, apparently never polished… get it serviced by an independent and you have a nice example just above £7k - bargain in these crazy times.

What shocks me is the rrp on a Rolex. They've not kept up with the rest of the market at all. It's the price of other watches that shocks me. Rolex secondhand prices seem to be where they always have been in the market.
They have always had high price tag relative to everyday items and it's not always been the case that you can just buy the model you want from a dealer.

what amazes me about rolex is the notion (by non watch people) that they are the best watch brand ever.
Horologically speaking they are dull as ditchwater and rolex will never sit at the top table with the haute horology brands like Patek, JLC etc.
their marketing department is exemplary though.I hate car analogy’s but they are an Audi. dull, safe and reliable even the hot versions.
would like a plain dial 1500/submariner/GMT but unlikely to happen now as they have gone nuts over the last few years.
-
• #63423
Same as Harley Davidson in the bike world. Non bikers seem to think they are great.
I don't think a Rolex is an Audi but it doesn't matter which car manufacturer you align the brand with, you'll be wrong. :)
All that hate and you still want one! That's successful product design for you.
The thing that's really gone nuts over the last few years is the stock market and international government money printing. Rolex have carried on with their own plan.

Ummmmm
Most of us labelled you that
