Classic Everton, that. Shit the bed against one of the worst teams in the league and then turn in a great effort against United. Big slice of luck off Harry Maguire’s back but will gladly take that. Leeds doing us a huge favour against Watford, is it too much to ask for Norwich to take some points off Burnley? Probably.

Beating United is pretty meaningless these days, as you'll realise if you saw the game. You've much harder games to come. United will do well to keep Liverpool to single figures in 10 days.

Have you seen us play recently? Nothing is meaningless in our position. I appreciate we’re not beating Fergie’s United (or even van Gaal’s) but given the firepower they have and the porous nature of our defence, that was a great result.
