The controller needs to be connected to a really strong spring at an awkward angle covered in questionable stickiness for the true back-corner-of-argos effect

Ah man.. the memories, on the long grey arm thingy.

I have three N64 consoles and about 40 games. Best controller of any older console.

any mods you'd recommend? I'm playing through the DLCs now but I'm tempted to just restart once I complete it fully

The 4 controllers I bought are deffo a bit ropey, but they were also only £12 each.
The retrobit n64 usb controllers are well reviewed, but they’re £40 a piece. -

That's more expensive than the originals!

Turns out the very cheap controllers have an analog stick that isn't analog, and they don't play very nicely with the n64 to usb adapter. HMMMMMM

Totally agree.
You still don't wanna sell Conker's Bad Fur Day huh? -

I'm actually majorly lacking on games as my friend who managed to lose my third N64 also lost all the games with it, Perfect Dark, Pokemon stadium, Goldeneye, CBFD. I'm gutted tbh

I lost LOADS of N64/NES games and a NES when someone stole them from my room at a house party. Cunts.

TIL there's a first person mod for Witcher 3. When you use the crossbow or cast signs, your hands (and the crossbow, if firing) come into view. Choose the right skills and mutations and you could go through most of the game either shooting things with the crossbow or casting, FPS style. Could call that style of play, oh, "Hexer"...

You want to take a look at the value of some of those.
Just sold a Gameboy Micro (boxed) for £250 and Pokemon Emerald GBA (boxed) for £200. Crazy prices these days.

Weird one, the analog sticks are a bit unpredictable. EG when pushing forward on one controller, it only registers as a half input (ie Link walks rather than runs), but I get full input when pushing right. I'm using sixtyforce which claims to self calibrate, and OpenEmu doesn't work at all with the controllers.

Am I the only person that missed this announcement?

Ooh, nice. The og Monkey Islands definitely made a lasting impression. Would be fun to know what year I played them originally -- must have been a few years after the initial release(s).
I played Thimbleweed Park last year. I thought it was ok rather than great, but overall still pretty fun.
First game I ever had on the n64 along with mario 64.
Looking forward to reliving the memories some 20 years later!
