• Are there cog threads on that nds? Or is it just quickly fitted in that picture? I dont know if I've ever seen a dual sided thread track disc before, kinda interesting.

Its an annoying thing with discs that unless you're going quite slowly and depending on how loud they are you can't really hear it yourself.

  • Damn. That’s a shame! But also good to hear. There seem to be as many bad reviews as good, which is why I wanted to try them so much. Should your friend decide they don’t need them, I’m also in Bristol if second dibs is worth anything!

  • @Arnomatic oh cool, if my mate doesn't want to use them then sure thing.

Yup, there are threads on both sides. Think it's a fairly generic track hub in there.

  • Anybody have any experience of titanium cranks, similar in style to eeWings?

  • Those welds do not inspire me

    EE Wings for comparison

  • alright hambini

  • The fact that the round end tube exiting the crank isn't round also concerns me. It's odd they've gone to the considerable trouble and expense of getting the constituent parts machined and formed, and then got them TIG-welded together and the welds dressed by someone who is nearly as incompetent at such things as me.

  • Thanks, ordered mine now with dt Swiss 240 hubs and a 88mm front for my new tt bike…

Actually ordered two as a mate wanted one as well and we got a small discount for ordering 3 wheels.

  • do you still have the 7g bottle cages? tempted to give them a go

  • Does anyone know who makes the new carbon Pipedream Alice fork?

    https://www.pipedreamcycles.com/shop/alice-fm-fork/

Carbonda made the previous version but I don’t see this funky new one on the Carbonda site yet.

There must be a way to buy it direct from whoever makes it.

  • People who have bought from light bicycle before, how updated is their “live” tracker? My order hasn’t updated it status since they initially share the link 10 days ago…
Trying to prevent myself from being a pain in the arse customer, just seems they claim the steps they are on take 2-3 days and they aren’t competed yet…

  • unfortunately passed onto @hoops . they were good though! just didnt work with my frame + band on derailleur

  • Yeah give up on that live tracker, it didn't move for me at all. It seems more of a "they come when they come". Customer service is pretty good though so I'd just ask, they got back to me same day.

  • What are the best options for a decent short nosed saddle on Ali Express please?

Something in the Pro Stealth, Dimension, Spesh Power mould.

  • What about buying the "SELLE ITALIA MODEL X GREEN"? I think I've seen them for about 30 quid online from the UK.

  • I found the model X pretty torturous tbh and I'm strictly a spesh power user

  • Its supposed to be the same as the SLR boost (which I love and have on a couple of bikes), but obviously all arses are different

  • I've got one of these, the Comfort+ one which are quite good, only replaced because my arse doesn't like short stubby saddles. I do like it for the turbo though

  • Buying something from a reputable retailer is boring. I’ve always kind of enjoyed the thrill of seeing what turns up from Aliexpress.

I had an $8 bare carbon saddle that lasted a couple of years.

  • Any recommended bearing presses for DT Swiss hub maintenance?

  • I see your hammer and wood and raise you...

  • I'm actually wanting to transition from the hammer and wood option.
The pneumatic/hydraulic one looks like a solid contender, just need to sell it on the partner. Might go nice in between the fridge and the bin.

  • If you want some nice made in the UK tools(which you're probably not, given the thread), then I can recommend https://www.bearingprotools.com/
