I just don't bother trying doctor for that shit any more. I just use an online paid service. Cost me about £60 last time I did it, but easy life.

"You can't call to book, you need to book online"
"I've never booked online and my missus did this already and didn't book online"

"You can't email to book, you need to call at 8am and this doctor is only in 2 days a week and we're booked 4 weeks in advance*

"Yes we can book in 4weeks, please call us to book an appointment as are unable to do this via email."
