• Not my experience of Mountain bikers. Strong sense of community, people pitching in for each other’s benefit trail building etc. People always check in with anyone who is stopped trail side.

All the political chat and discussion seems to be left leaning. But maybe that’s because my social network off reading is based around people who volunteer as trail builders/maintainers. So there is a common altruistic theme to us.

  • If VW Transporters were even close to being affordable I'd agree.

  • Yeah VW Transporter is centrist dad

  • I didn't know @Howard had a VW Transporter

  • you know i nearly tagged

  • The only thing 'dad' about me are my jokes

  • most competitive cyclist don't or forget to vote.

Brompton riders are a problem because ridden across the political board ....i think the common trait might be being liberal, university educated and a not obnoxiously pretentious.

  • Anything with Columbus tubing is Speaker of the House, natch.

  • i do think it's fair to say there is a certain type of mountain biker who loves to turn up in a van/4x4 with an ebike on the roof, ride the wet trail once on max power then fuck off to their second home.

they're definately kentish types, right of center libeterians
