A little bit further at 3 miles, but I went to Tila in Deptford just before Xmas and the roast lunch was very good. It's a bit trendy but still proper portions and was definitely family friendly

I’ve not been for a couple of years, but the food in the Dartmouth Arms has always been excellent when I’ve visited. It’s definitely not Sunday roast style either.

Haven’t been in years, so would need to look at the reviews, but this was good on a Sunday, accompanied by a walk in the woods.

Any ideas for a family meal on a Sunday in/near Forest Hill? Range is a couple of miles in any direction; would prefer not a standard pub roast but has to be family friendly. My shortlist is pretty short at the moment…
