• Hi all,

Posting a generic / shitty photo to ask some advice.

There are two kinds of artefacts on this, the blue flare on the right side and the repeated greenish flares on top and bottom. I'm pretty sure these are some form of light leak but not sure. This was taken with a

    Contax 139Q + Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/50 T* C/Y lense and 400 Ultramax Kodak

The blue flare / artefact is present on some of the photos I've taken. This is my second roll with this camera and the problem persists. The green bands could be to not-tightly wound film although again I'm not sure.

I would be very grateful for any input/suggestions on this.

PS: I also included an action shot of Cresswell goal on Sunday WHU vs EVE

  • It looks like light leaks, yes.
My first guess is it's the camera door not shutting tightly enough, maybe the foam inside is missing in parts, for example at the hinge (where the film with the already-taken shots is wound up).
You could check this / replace the foam, or in the meantime tape around the edges on the back of the door with thick black tape after you have put in the next roll and see if the problem persists.
