  • Asked about merino jerseys a couple weeks back and Torm got some good comments - should be exactly the same SportsWool fabric as Rapha. Lots of sizes are currently out of stock but the chap from Torm reassured me there should be a restocking towards the end of the month. I'm looking for a short sleeve merino top for the odd weekender and will probably pull the trigger on a lovely deep green one once it's available in M again.

I have a long sleeve dhb merino jersey which I've used quite a lot in for the past three years and still going strong bar the odd fabric pull. It feels quite light and not all that "premium" (which seems a word thrown about a lot for the Rapha Classic/Brevet stuff) but does a good job in a surprisingly wide range of temperatures (especially paired with an all merino base layer, in my case also dhb). Have a SS in M that I'll need to shift as it's too small (needs sizing up from the usual dhb stuff for some reason) but might be tempted by another one in L as its LS sibling has been a good workhorse.

My other merino number is an Isadore LS jersey and that's a really lovely and well made top, thicker than the dhb and nice and long in both body and arms (I'm 6'2" and all torso). I'd bet their SS offering would be as nice, thought wouldn't necessarily be cheaper than Rapha.

  • Thanks, will take a look at Torm. I like the rapha jerseys too @Squaredisk i find they work very well to layer up and can go into warm spring weather. e.g. I had a short sleeve jersey, arm warmers, insulated gilet and forum aqua ajcket on yesterday for my commute. I think the collar could be a little shorter and I wish there was a loop for hanging up, but it feels nice and works. I quite fancy the putty colour
