Thanks for the info, although not necessarily the answer I was after as the Conti’s are a bit more expensive! In what ways are the Veloflex high maintenance?
Although maybe I should go for something different entirely? I’ve seen a lot of love for the marathon supremes in the last few pages.

Resolute are good for tougher off-road and mud. They cope with any kind of gravel fine but are draggy on the road.

None of my WTBs have done this and I've had Horizons with Caffe Latex, Senderos with some other sealant and Riddlers with some other sealant again (and even non-TL Raddlers but they don't count obvs). I blame Brexit.
Oh and Resolutes but they were already fitted with unknown sealant so I don't know if they weeped initially or not.

Did you get any? The Crazy Bob 2.35 off the Inbred are sat here doing fuck all.

https://twitter.com/firsthippy/status/1438925461137068037These are on one of the grrl's gravel wheels. No seepage. Maybe it was only old ones?
Also I lied, it wasn't the Sendero I had it was the Venture.
Too many WTBs.

Anyone want a set of used, non-TL, 700x45C, WTB Riddler?

Just found veloflex had more flats - my conti gp5000 tubeless were fit and forget (apart from occasional sealant squirts) for 2 years, all seasons.

what is the new marathon supreme now that the marathon supreme is no more?
- G-One Allround - not as durable or p resistant
- Marathon Almotion - tractorish / heavy
- Kojak - not tubeless, not as p resistant
why have Schwalbe inflicted this dilemma upon us?
- G-One Allround - not as durable or p resistant

Worth considering some offerings from Hutchinson, IMO they have the best tubeless setup and are very well priced. Fusion 5 all season or Intensive 2 could be worth considering for nice tough but not horrible tyres. Not huge sizes mind.
-
• #9013
thanks, they look interesting but as you say, small sizes (28c max).
for "road" type tyres i have IRC x guard which don't get much of a mention on here but are the first set of road tubeless which i didn't quickly end up putting tubes into.
marathon supreme replacements would need to be 35c+, for me.

I ve ridden Schwalbe all round and Hutchinson Overide in 35 and 38 respectively.
No lalalas on either of them, commuting in town, and gravel.
Fairly priced, Overides often come in bargain duo bundle.
I m light at 70 kg and run them at the lowest pressure.
Override are more comfy and light, but wear faster than the Schwalbe. -

I did get a couple of flats with Veloflex Corsa Evo even though I only had them on for a few weeks.
Two things I’d mention about them them are that they are ridiculously comfortable and plush while feeling really fast. Talking about “feeling” fast as I have no way to prove/disprove that. Best feeling tire I’ve ever run no doubt 👍
On the other hand as we said a little more puncture prone used on UK lanes/London roads and they blow up small. I had 28s and they were much smaller than any other 28 I’ve used to the point that I had a couple of sidewall blowouts using 28-32 sized inner tubes. This was on 18mm internal rims.
If you’re looking for a summer tire for fast rides on decent roads I’d absolutely recommend them. For general summer use I’d say they are worth a shot for the comfort. Plus they look great…!
No experience with Contis as their famed ultra stiff ride always put me off. Interesting to hear things might have improved with the latest 5000s but I’m yet to try a non cotton tire that gets anywhere near the supple ride of Veloflex/Vittoria.

A non-tubeless GP5000 with a latex tube is faster, and with comparable puncture protection, to a Veloflex Corsa Evo. Veloflex do feel much nicer though.

I’m after some 700c tyres.
40mm-45mm
Slick. Light and fast.
I’ve found gravelkings a bit crap in the wet. I’d like to try compass but they’re too much money.
Any recommendations?
Maybe Teravail Rampart Light & Supple TLR -

Challenge strada Bianca. Had the 36 for a few years and liked them. They do tubeless in 40mm. They're not tough tyres but they are fast and feel lovely.

These turned up today 😃 so that’s a job for later.
There’s also a pair of the Corsa G2s on their way.

I’m very happy with my light and supple Ramparts in 42. I’ve so far had one puncture on a shard of glass, although I did need to top up the pressure to get home comfortably, the sealant managed to seal it. Seem to be less slidy than the 35 GKs that preceded them, that might be purely psychological though.

Thanks, that’s just the sort of comparison I was after.

Well they go on a treat and after a quick spin they roll nicely. Supple life the fixed edition.

Those tyres are cracking for the money, have them on my commuter that gets the odd lunchtime ride and they make such a difference

You can still get Supremes at SJS. I might get a pair myself actually. Been using G-One's for the past year or so. Find I'm doing more road miles now so might switch up!
Never used supremes before, guessing based on the above they're recommended!

Does anyone want to swap a new (unboxed) 23mm Pro4Endurance for a 25mm one? I have 23mm but want a 25mm. I'm in E10/N1
WTB Byways in 44 can be had for £25 at the moment, no idea what they're like though.
