SOLD: 60 cm 1992 Peugeot Tourmalet fixed gear conversion, complete bike
£245 SOLD
I have over 10 years of happy memories with this bike :) I now regrettably have to sell and am looking for a third owner.
The steel frame is super responsive and feels really connected to the road without being too rigid. For a steel frame, it feels quite light, especially combined with modern, lighter aluminium wheels. As a fixed gear conversion, I’ve mostly ridden it around town, but it’s been good fun on a few longer rides. Everything is running smoothly.
Model PE200, CMO Chromoly using Peugeot “Direct Brazing System” and Peugeot CAD “Cycles Computer Design”
Seat tube 60cm CTC, Top tube 58cm CTC
Campagnolo Record headset
Shimano 600 DX stem
ITM CRONOpiega aero TT handlebars
Shimano PRO Sport handlebar tape
CLB OMEGA brake lever
CLB OMEGA R calliper brake
Shimano 600 Ultegra brake pads
Shimano SLR brake cable
Rear wheel: Brick Lane Bikes (BLB) flip flop hub, two-cross laced with 32 spokes to a BLB 700C Deep-V rim
BLB 20T sprocket and lockring
Freewheel, unknown brand
Front wheel: Halo Aerotrack hub, radially laced with 32 spokes to a Halo Aerotrack 700C deep rim
Continental Gatorskin tyres
SKS Bluemels mudguards
Shimano BB-UN54 bottom bracket
Stronglight 170mm cranks
Stronglight 52T chainring
Odyssey Twisted UV colour changing platform pedals (clear in the sun, purple in the shade)
Hold Fast pedal straps
Zeus 1/8” chain
Madison saddle
Seat post, unknown brand
As you get with a used 30 year old bike, there’s a few imperfections. I’ve always kept it indoors, but it does have a little bit of surface rust on the frame where there’s a few scratches from wear and tear. There’s also rust on the freewheel, the front wheel nuts and the toe strap buckles. The saddle is a little scuffed. The brake lever hood is torn, but stays put. The thread on the drive side crank is partially stripped. The tyres are getting a bit worn.
