@Arnomatic I have a set and have done a good 200+ miles on them. I've upgraded the brake pad holders and bolts to the original EE ones which helped massively with the braking. However, the adjuster rod kept moving the pads over so you end up getting brake rub on the rims. Ordered the black ones and have a pair of real El TD ones and I have to say they don't stand up next to these in performance at all. Personally I wouldn't bother, even after paying out for real EE pad holders and bolts its not worth it. Going to donate them to a mate for his hill climb bike where these issues won't really become a problem.
Damn. That’s a shame! But also good to hear. There seem to be as many bad reviews as good, which is why I wanted to try them so much. Should your friend decide they don’t need them, I’m also in Bristol if second dibs is worth anything!
