People will always just pay whatever based on their own perceived value. Sale discounts or over rrp factors less than you think. People set their own price limits on what they think is too much and that often isn't down to affordability. I know a guy that has spent nearly a million on watches but when he asked me to sort a bike out for him he said 2.5 k closer to 2 if i can and i had a client today that said she would really like a Brietling but they're really expensive yet she'd just come from viewing a house listed at 2.3 million so 1.8 million pound property may seem cheap to her but a 4k watch is really expensive? Others will happily pay way over what someone else perceives as expensive just because they really want it and i don't think that means they have more money than sense just different strokes for different folks.
