Plastic holder for the tent pole in my folks old tent is split. Time for some plastic welding.
Some light "stitches" to hold it closed:
Then two trimmed and curved staples at the top and a bit below the split:
Then the ugly part. Reinforcing by "brazing" zip ties over the metal to seal, over and into the crack/where the light stitches were, plus a reinforcing ring around the top.
File off the sharp edges and check the fit:
