The only reason I know this is a really rare all yellow gold one with sunray blue dial is up for action.
If your talking of white gold then I'm not sure on that.

Yeah they did gold DJs for a long time but not for while now, maybe since the 1980s? White gold might be a new thing.

My father in law has an all gold date just with a gold sunburst dial. It’s from 1963 and an absolute beaut! Always feel awkward asking to see it as he has little interest in it and so doesn’t see my complete fascination!

You're right and I'm wrong, I hadn't clocked that they're doing solid gold Datejusts again. Up to now they'd only been steel cases optionally with gold bezels and two-tone bracelets.
