Very much so. I had a couple of hours in the car and was catching up on some Friends of the Podcast episodes I'd not listened to before. Genuinely shocking.

Echo most of the above. Listen to his podcasts and read his books and it's a sad loss for the sport and the fans. Condolences to his close friends and family.

Fully agree
that delightful interplay between him, Friebe and Birnie
Yeah, it was really easy between them, they gave each other space and gently took the piss.

Fucking ell, can’t believe it. Any suggestion of what happened?

Racing seems incidental in the circumstances but RM wouldn’t have wanted anyone to be interrupted…
Great finish on the cards at DDV. MVDP, Pollit, Benoot, Kung, Campanaerts, Are Pidders and Ben Turner in the front group.

Ben Turner is biiiig.

Still shocked by the news. I can’t imagine how Birnie and Friebe will be able to handle the busy period coming up, and the Giro.
DDV is shaping up well. Pog has been humbled. Hope they stay away.
It’s amazing how Sir Pidders hangs with these long bois.

Pog is coming back! This is just a giggle for him anyway. Nothing to lose.
Tratnik’s legs are quite something aren’t they?
-
• #38785
Some great racing today, Ben Turner absolutely bossing it.

Campernaerts being spicy.
Enjoying how he is racing! -

This is getting good. Both Ineos got free rides then.
Turner FTW pls.

• #38788
That was an awesome last 10km!

Tratnik beat Pog. End of an era.

Brilliant race. So pumped for Sunday.

Kate Wagner has written a piece about what Richard Moore meant to her.

“the world he built”
They did seem to inhabit a slightly other world over there at TCP. I hope they find a way to continue, but I always felt like he was the gravitational force keeping everyone together.
She describes him exactly how I imagined him. This is really very sad.

beautiful piece

Sporza posted last 8.5km of the race on YT it’s pretty bonkers
GCN highlights say Campenaerts was on a 60T and cracked a tooth from grimacing so hard
-

Got to feel for pidcockz thought he had a teammate there to go over the top but no. So strong for a little rider.
-
• #38797
Imagine turning that gear over after 190km.
-
• #38798
If he had a 11-28 then all he has to do is cross chain a bit and he would make it to the finish no bother. I'd be more worried about getting up the climbs with a 50T inner ring or whatever he had.

Pukes
Christ. A huge shock and a huge loss to myself and no doubt thousands of others.
