  • I really rate the Endura Pro SL - can often be got on sale for around 90 I think. Choice of pad widths is handy too - I'm 6'2 and 62.5kg and size Small with Narrow pad is perfect for me

  • They’d have to make my nob look bigger and my arse look smaller for that money.

    Might settle for either/or.

  • Thanks, found a couple of reviews that weren't impressed with the finish/stitching on the Le Col bibs so probably not worth a punt.

7mesh MK3 anyone? I thought there was a thread just for bibs but can't seem to find it.

    Ah you want Assos then

  • They are fantastic tho. I may feel differently if I had to pay for them

  • I like La Passione. Can be had fairly cheap in sales, but you need to pay £9 postage or something. Heard many good things about endura shorts, though and their bits of kit I have are well thought out and well made.

  • I’ve had La Passione kit in the past. It’s nice and good quality but at £125 (without a discount code) it’s a bit tough for me to swallow these days.

I’m finding it really hard to see past Rapha Core for bibs that I know will be good without breaking the bank.

  • Sportful Bodyfit Pro LTD.

  • Yup. It's gone up a bit the past few years. I think their 'classic' range shorts were discounted to £63/65 in a sale last year, which is a pretty fair price even with the postage.

  • Core jersey and bib bundle for £115 clinches it for me.

  • Good baselayers with no branding up on the chest? I like the rapha pro team base layer, but wondering if there's a cheaper good alternative without a crappy logo showing when i unzip my jersey

  • I used to have a bunch of the Giro ones which I really liked, and logo free. Haven't had one in the collection for a few years though so can't speak for current production methods etc

  • The logo comes off the DHB ones after a handful of hot washes, which is useful.

  • That is actually useful, I'll give them a go

  • ALL Endura stuff is fucking great. Assos Mille GT is Rapha core pricing but Rapha PT experience. And I am a HUGE fan of etxeondo.

I think I have now fully de-Rapha'd my wardrobe, couple of summer jerseys left.

The epiphany I had was; Rapha was never that special, the real good stuff is always Assos/European.

I look forward to your next "build" with Campag!

    I'm a fan of these

  • without a bike in the pic, looks even more like shrunken inter milan kit

  • 100% my immediate thought, even has Pirelli vibes with that oval over the text! Can't be accidental surely?

Wading in the bib shorts chat, I'm going to riff off @snoops suggestion of Sportful, have a pair of Fiandre bib shorts (the pad is the TC Pro) and they're extremely well made and comfortable. Currently also looking at another pair of summer shorts and Sportful are high on my list as well.

  • The copy - which I hadn't read until now - does in fact say:

For the original Ronaldo. For Italian spirit. For the art. Inspired by the classic Inter Milan shirts of the late 90s.

  • I think that's the look they were going for, I'm interested in what other kit they bring out and if it's football shirt inspired too.

Aren't cycling shorts "so hot right now" why can't the tops be too...

  • Definitely into it, looks good! Shame my work network thinks the Onward website is a dodgy website and I can't open it at the moment.. 😂
