Ah, sorry, thought you meant an entire calendar or whatever, I've got about 12 on mine, including some duplicates from multiple accounts and shared things so turn off visibility on some of those.

As DethBeard has commented, it usually takes a flat blade screwdriver (4mm will do it). It's possible it slides off though. In my experience most of them slide off once you put the screwdriver in the slot.
Like I said before, usually you pull it off the ceiling in anger and have a good look at it before you figure out how it works. By which time you look like a really angry mammal to any member of the household who's watched you do this.
The state of some of them when I've been called in to fix it.

Has this been resolved yet?

So far I've half pulled the accessible one off the ceiling trying to work out how to open it (I think a screwdriver is the way to go). I followed that up with climbing a ladder to the one I thought was beeping but, putting my ear next to it, that doesn't seem to be the case.
I'm now pondering whether it is something buried in the loft or possibly next door but it will be another night of trying to ignore the chirps every 38 seconds.

Could be next door. I've tracked down a similar noise to find out it is the neighbours.

I've got an old tent that's in vgc apart from a few small repairs.
- Some of the tent awning rubber bands have snapped and I assume more will go. What should I replace them with? As they're sewn in I can't readily see how I'd replace like for like.
- One of the plastic female(?) holder for the poles has cracked. Should I plastic weld it and reinforce with trimmed staples, or is it best left alone? If it brakes more while I'm camping, is there an easy bodge fix? Ziptie? If so how?
- Any good value recommendations for seam sealer and waterproof spray?
Cheers

I've seen awning rubbers replaced either with toggle bands or by just looping a band through the nylon.

Clear silicon sealant diluted with white spirit for the seam sealer.

If it’s got batteries I’d change it anyway I seem to recall one of ours being intermittent (or take it off and leave it in a hire car for four days - that works well)

I fucking love this place. It's so hard to explain to people why I get everything from mortgage advice to how to fix a tent from a bike forum.

Anyone ID this fork make? They're on a fatbike is all I know.
An M with a kind of eye symbol behind it.

Yes, next step is to change the batteries in everything I can find.

Has anyone else suffered from a headache after riding? It happens to me too frequently to be just chance. I suspect that it's a combination of riding position putting too much strain on my shoulders and neck, plus a touch of dehydration, but I'd be interested to hear any other thoughts.

tried a different helmet or no sunglasses?

tried no helmet or different sunglasses?
Both sound suggestions, alongside proper hydration and position. Of course, the real answer is usually a new bike 🙂

Cheers, I don't generally wear sunglasses, although I may start, since I'm slightly susceptible to migraines and flashing light through hedgerows may not be ideal.
What's your suspicion with regard to how sunglasses or helmet might be causing headaches?

I think I'm about to come down with Norovirus.
My OH had it from early yesterday morning, and I'm starting to feel a bit off.
I've taken paracetamol. Trying to tidy and get the kids ready early.
Anything else I can do to prepare or mitigate? Lots of fluids? Food/no food?
Cheers.

@hugo7
Staying hydrated is the key as you'll lose a surprising amount of water. Keep plenty of fluids around that you'll be inclined to drink (squash etc). Ideally get hold of some Dioralyte or your favourite non-branded rehydration sachets. 1-2 of them a day will keep your salts up. If your wee goes dark you're not drinking enough.
Eat as you're able, but you probably won't be feeling up to much.
Good stock of loo roll.
Good hand hygiene and try not to prepare any food for others while you're unwell, where possible.
When it's all over give everything you touched a spray down with disinfectant. -

Does anyone here work for a bike shop that would be able to send me an email with an estimated cost of replacing a bike that was stolen from me in a mugging? It might be going to court so would like to be able to show police something - they don't really get that I can't just point to a product page on the Halfords website and show a cost.
-
• #112073
I had to do this recently,
gave seabass a list of the parts that were on the bike and described the frame and they quoted me a cost of modern day replacement.

Any idea what I can use to pick out the detail in the nice panto on this vintage Campag seatpost? Some sort of light paint/ink wash can then wipe off?

Cheers. Will do.
Might be a little hole to put a very small flat head screwdriver in to pry it apart?
