Dunno, six hours in the pub sounds pretty good to me. (tongue firmly in cheek)
I'm sure she was just being a massive dick...but unless you know otherwise, you can't rule out some kind of mental health issue or they (the couple) were never really aligned on moving and she just didn't think it would happen.
We've had the luxury of really fucking wanting to move because we'd totally outgrown where we were, twice. Further down the line, in a family home, I can imagine it's a process tinged with at least some sadness and regret.

She had 7 months to be sad. There were no reasons to sell other than they wanted to move.
