One of our cats went AWOL on moving day (but pointing out that my idea of closing the cat flap the night before to avoid that issue did not go down well in an already stressed environment). Which meant ms_com had to stay behind to try and nab said cat. But of course with all the people going in and out, turning the place upside down, the fucker was well hidden. Which meant the original plan of ms_com greeting the movers at the new place and directing them where to put each meticulously planned box, was out the window. Cue everything being dumped in two rooms, which meant we weren't unpacked for months and stuff was a nightmare to find during that time.
Cat still didn't appear by the time we thought we'd messed our buyer round enough (they were VERY accommodating). So we left the catflap on "in only" and asked the buyer to call us if a tabby appeared. I then had to go round at 9pm later that day to retrieve a scared tabby from this poor person's new spare room. Thankfully they didn't piss or shit anywhere.
Same cat is still insisting on shitting and pissing in random places here, even though she'll happily spend all day outside. Part of me wishes she had have stayed gone.
