Cat immediately shits / urinates on your nicely integrated door mat

Wardrobe won't fit up the stairs / round the bend

Sellers have left a load of crap in the house.
Sellers have taken lightbulbs.
Sellers have taken keys to a locked door.
You can't find the box you put the kettle in.

My BIL recently moved house and had to spend 6 hours sitting in the pub down the road (after getting the keys) because the lady who sold the house was too sad and didn't want to leave. It took her husband the best part of the day to convince her not to stage a sit in protest.

This is a month after they were delayed from completing / moving on the eve of the first move date as someone further up the chain forgot they had horses and hadn't done anything about arranging them to move with them.

You cannot prepare for the nonsense that can / will go wrong today.
