  • I've got an old tent that's in vgc apart from a few small repairs.

    1. Some of the tent awning rubber bands have snapped and I assume more will go. What should I replace them with? As they're sewn in I can't readily see how I'd replace like for like.
    2. One of the plastic female(?) holder for the poles has cracked. Should I plastic weld it and reinforce with trimmed staples, or is it best left alone? If it brakes more while I'm camping, is there an easy bodge fix? Ziptie? If so how?
    3. Any good value recommendations for seam sealer and waterproof spray?

    Cheers

  • I've seen awning rubbers replaced either with toggle bands or by just looping a band through the nylon.
