I've respecced a few times just to try stuff out, if you do it make a note of exactly what the requirements for the weapons and spells you want to use are cos once you're in that menu you can't check

I did a str + dex build at first using the bloodhound curved sword that you get from one of the gaol bosses quite early on. I wanted to try out some different weapons but none were at good for dex scaling or bloodloss. Now I'm doing a dex+arc build with the rivers of blood sword and cloud of flies to proc bloodloss. Much squishier but can do huge spikes of damage

Actually I think I'm thinking of the wrong tree sentinel. If your one is in Farum Azula and the bridge is curving upwards then you can run past but there's a boss fight so you may as well beat him.

on my new game plus I switched to using all the correct oils and a combination of potions and skills that would turbo charge geralt but also put him at the edge of his corruption/poisoning or whatever its called and it was not only way more thematic he turns into the absolute killing machine he's billed as.

I feel like I probably should have done this...

boss fight

Woosh, that was a tough fight! Took me a few goes! I feel like the last few they just went 'fuck it, lets make it 10x harder'.

yeah that second phase really got me until I realised the safest place is right behind the guy and to roll towards him

Just got past leyndell. Don't want to say loads but was a bit disappointed in the morgott fight. Idk if I was overlevelled but it felt a bit easy for something I'd built up a lot as something that would be cool.

I felt the same. Those bloody giant birds in the area were tougher

Bought the game via VPN, strolling around Limgrave and already feeling dread

It's just ridiculous boss fight after boss fight haha..

I was mooching around a little earlier and remembered i'd ran past the tree sentinel there. if you spawn in the boss room after you've beat him the sentinel only comes in as far as the door and he just has 2 ranged moves you can dodge roll away from. I swapped to 6 blue flasks and cheesed him with ranged weapon art attacks.

I think I just need to consider my build more. Kinda thought 60 strength would be enough.

I can't remember what the soft caps are but I think 60 is where people usually stop, maybe 80 if you're going hard on just one. Make sure your weapon scaling is a B for str, use the Ash of War to change that. Also I think Flame is str scaling too.

I finished it with a pure strength build. I pretty much only leveled strength, vit, and end. Think i stopped leveling strength at 60ish, but wore a few things to push my strength further.

Just dual wielded massive hammers and jump boop'd everything

Think I'm done now tbh. Spent 2 hours on the final boss and only got to the 'second phase' three times.

It's gone from being hard but fair to just stupid hard. I really enjoyed the first 90% and now i just hate it haha.

Maybe I'll download it again in a few months after a break.

Damn this has made me nervous for the last fight!

Hit a big brick wall Vs. mohg today. Fought him for 2-3 hours all in all and could only do it with the aid of the mimic tear in the end.

Haha, it's probably mostly me not being good enough. I feel the game is punishing me for not getting better 😂.

Not much x box love here? Anyone have the Xbox box series s? Seems much easier to get hold of but no Elden ring
