I'm trying to use a 1030 on H/M bars, currently have the quarter turn mounted to the inside of the grips which isn't bad, doesn't interfere with fold but is awkward and not particularly stable

Could you get me of those TT bar extensions for mounting lights/computers, and stick that out towards the middle of the bars from the vertical section of handlebar?
Annoyingly I can’t find a picture of what I mean, but I’ve used a clamp on mount before to stick out into the middle of the bars for mounting a light that worked ok.

Which garmin and which bars? I’ve got an edge 20 and flat bars and just use the standard 1/4 turn mount which works exactly as it should. Had also worked on the m type handlebars just fine.
1/4 turn and S bars would Probably be ok for an edge 500 sized device as well. Have had my 800 on there when needing maps, but a bit awkward to be the angle right, and does interfere with the fold.
