  • Cheers. Interestingly I finally got the support team to confirm that I owned the account because it was linked to my email address, even though I didn't create it. They confirmed I could delete the account so I did.

  • Probably a longshot, but does anyone have any particular experience of Spanish visas and associated processes? Someone who I manage at work is looking to relocate to Spain and the visa situation seems entirely opaque. Basically, I/we have the following questions:

    • it seems like there's a new visa coming in (called something like digital nomads) that will be the visa she requires, but apparently it doesn't come into existence until September. Does anyone know any more on this - what the process and timeframes involved might be?
    • any good resources for local expert advice on these matters?
    • she can apply for a 'Family Permit/family member of EU citizen' - does anyone know if this is sufficient to work from Spain?

    Thanks!

  • I'd love to know what the name for this is as it happened to me for both instagram and twitter. For the former I could trigger a password reset and claim the account back, but not for twitter.

  • Opinions on an Omnium CXC as a drop bar road/gravel/touring bike?
Don't know a huge amount about road bike geo but wanting something comfortable for longer miles.

  • Yes, but not sure I can be of much help.

Are you coming at it from the perspective of a manager, if so, would her being here create a business entity? This is the issue my wife had (she ended up quitting).
I believe the family permit will give ability to work in Spain.
Forget the nomad thing. I did read the highlights a while back and was shit.

  • I get loads of emails for firstnamelastname@gmail.com ( where my email is firstname.lastname@gmail.com) and they often contain lots of personal info for some people in the US and Australia. I even get their flight details automatically added to my Gmail calendar, it's very annoying. On many occasions I've contacted the people sending the invoices/receipts/legal documents to tell them to call the intended recipient and let them know they've made a mistake, and on more than one occasion I've been into their accounts and changed/modified/cancelled orders too. A couple of months ago I booked a car repair for for one of them that would collect the car from their house. I've cancelled flights they've booked before as well. It's very petty but I have no idea what their real email address is, just that they are very annoying!

  • Gmail is funny with full stops and other symbols in addresses and you can send stuff to various variations of your email and still receive the message in your primary Inbox

  • Thanks for this. Yep, I am. Our company are (seemingly) happy enough with the business entity situation, the question at the moment is we need a visa that will enable her to work and for my employers to meet the necessary tax and legal obligations. Hopeful that you think the family permit may be viable, she is going to speak to some contacts tonight who may be able to shed more light on that. If anyone else knows more please do shout!

Thanks for your input, really appreciated.

  • Sorry if obvious and already explored, but prob easiest to just contact the Spanish embassy.

  • Yes, we didn't get as far as legit arrangements. Brexit has caused some issues, with a lot not knowing what the deal is. But there is a double taxation agreement. We have residency here via withdrawal agreement, so not too familiar with the family arrangement.
Sounds like your company (you) are more assistive than my wife's.

  • Any recommendations for a small number of custom branded jerseys?

  • You know the cause of the problem, yet instead of doing something about it, you screw around with people's lives.

You've cost the, entirely uninvolved, garage money and people don't book flights for no good reason.

  • I haven't owned a car in over a decade... I'm heading to Denmark for two and a half months and will be taking a car with me. Once in Denmark I won't be doing much driving but I'll obviously be driving there and then back again in mid-July. I'll probably get the car in the next week and will insure it for a week or two in the UK before taking the ferry across to France. What's the best kind of insurance to get, and is there anything else I should know. Thanks in advance!

  • How about a company like Marmalade?

  • Need a new bottom bracket for a cervelo (bright) so I can use a gxp chain set…

Wheels manufacturing - non ceramic £75
    C bear - ceramic £120

Which would you choose or which other bb would you choose, i’ve discounted the ceramic speed one as it’s £220 which is crazy expensive!

  • Good people, I have acquired a 1998 Peugeot Competition Cyclo-cross. It has a Miche 1" threaded headset and the top race has cracked. This has allowed movement and water ingress which has shagged the top few threads on the steerer. I need help with what replacement I need as I have no experience of this type. There is a crown race, of sorts at the top of the headtube and the cracked ali/steel adjustable race goes over that retaining the bearings.
Also is extending the steerer an affordable option, if so where? Thanks.

  • Wheels Manufacturing one. Ceramic bearings on bicycles are utterly, utterly pointless. I'd spend money not to have them.

  • I am assuming it will have some kind of self extractor. Best to find the instruction manual for that crank.
