I think I might have mentioned it before, but when we transitioned our kids to pedal bikes, I just carried a pedal spanner and whipped the pedals on/off as they were getting used to pedalling.
it was easier than taking the cranks out and the cranks provided them with somewhere to rest their feet when they were getting more confident at 'gliding'
Fair enough. I'll try that, but these cranks take less time to take off than the pedals and no seat stays mean the chain is pretty easy to take off as well although it requires wheel removal
