Any proper mechanics have any hints or tips for this. I have a blanking grommet to seal the hole below, but there’s no obvious way of popping it in. All pro tips welcomed.

Cut a slice at the 6 o clock position on the lip that will go into the frame. It will give the lip space to move but still be solid enough to hold position.
