  • Have you seen The Bureau? Season 1 & 2 are one of the best written series I've ever seen.

Spiral's writing improves in the later seasons I think, we are at season 8 now.

  • Have you seen The Bureau?

No but i'll put it on the list. I stand by my initial response to Spiral season 1 but i can see it's moving in the right direction

  • Have you seen The Bureau? Season 1 & 2 are one of the best written series I've ever seen.

  • I must admit I've no idea what TV series/movie your image refers to, so I also don't get what you mean :)

  • That's Chums, it's the British original short BBC series friends was a much more successful American remake of, he's just trying to be friendly.

  • Front to back; Reginald, Raquel, Manda and Joseph. Charles and Phoebe not pictured.

  • Bureau De Channnnngeeeee

  • This is a bureau de change, not some two-bit knocking shop down on the seafront at Margate!

  • Tx! I've only seen TDT ages ago and once.

So that went woooooooooooooooosh over my head.

  • “You can pack your bags… ‘cos you’re ahhhht!”

  • Excited and nervous about Slow Horses on Apple. Will they fuck it up?
As far as I can tell a couple of key characters have been cut..will it lose the balance?

  • Bad Vegan

The producers are such cunts for this title. Victim blaming in the extreme, catchy though.

Not my cup of tea but I'm putting up with it until I'm allowed to put Severance back on.

  • Just finished watching ‘Adult Material’ on 4OD. It was interesting look into a world of porn. The lead actress gives an amazing performance alongside Rupert Everett as a sleazy producer.

  • Severance is ace!

  • working at carpetright in their head office felt very similar to that show. can see how a talented writer could spin a normal corporate experience into something super dystopian like this.

active distrust bred between departments by management for no reason. had to pretty much announce yourself if you went to a different part of the building "i'm just going to finance"/"i'm just here from the IT Dept" while 20 people stare blankly at you.

lots of staff with a weird devotion to "lord harris of peckham" (the cunt who owned it who took massive stock dividends just before end of financial year and then business claimed there was no profit that year so our performance based bonuses went from way over target to not reaching the first band. then he turned up in a new fucking maserati and his son another supercar a week later and they both did a tour of depts to tell the managers all about them).

the data we worked on may as well have been random numbers. picking out the right product name from 700 variations of berber twist carpet felt like you had to rely on a feeling that the one you picked felt right. all of them made me feel sad.

and there were some proper old goats.

  • the cunt who owned it who took massive stock dividends just before end of financial year and then business claimed there was no profit that year

Not disagreeing with the first bit, but a surely a stock dividend doesn't have any intrinsic value, it just dilutes share capital?

  • if not a dividend it was some other mechanism that they used to wipe out the "profit" on the year in a way that enriched him directly. we'd been getting monthly emails showing the company wide progress on the bonuses and were well over the upper limit on the final update, then they issued the financials and basically said oh well better luck next time and we all got a £30 gift card or something just as shit instead.

  • Peacemaker - two episodes in and it’s rather gratuitous juvenile fun.

  • Just finished Top Boy.

Wtf! Did not see that coming. Properly in shock.

  • Which top boy are there are two that I can find.

  • Top Boy: Summerhouse are the original 2x channel 4 seasons before that sweet Drake/Netflix money. Definitely worth starting with Summerhouse and unsure why the name change.

  • Top boy has a horrible knack of killing characters just as you become sympathetic toward them. It’s grim but compulsive viewing.

  • why the name change.

What? Surely you're not suggesting they simply named their series S3 and S4? That would be far too confusing.
