  • I don’t really get it either. It’s his career, if he wants to continue racing, even when he’s past his best, that is his prerogative.

    He was never a rider for the spring, even in his heyday, so I’m not reading too much into his results yet anyway.

  • That’s all fine but the weird belligerence about how he was going to get back there despite his results wasn’t particularly endearing.

  • I've been fortunate to meet a large number of pro riders through my job and with the exception of Ed Clancy and Marianne Voss, Frome is the nicest and most down to earth guy. Genuinely humble and interested in others around him, he was a marked contrast to a certain other British Tour winner.

    If he wants to keep racing then good on him, I'd love him to win another GT although it ain't happening. It's not his fault he gets paid what he does, his career as a whole earned a final big pay deal.
