  • I tried a couple of spirits yesterday both on leather straps as well as a couple of others as i had 15 minutes to kill whilst i had some links taken out of my new watch. I really liked the 40mm. It looked way nicer on than in the cabinet and the 42 was only a little bulky looking on my 17cm wrist. I tried on the super ocean heritage again as i think it's my favourite watching to look at and was going to be my next ambition but it really is way too big for me. I always thought Longines were a bit meh but they are making some lovely looking watches at the moment. The flagship heritage 38 felt and looked great on and its seems very good value.

  • I love Longines. Really enjoyed the BigEye, but mutual consensus here was that 30m WR is just not cutting it. And my 40mm Spirit was great, but a bit too shiny for that type of watch. I’m still waiting for them to make something I’d buy and keep.

  • Which model is the 30m WR? I'm looking for a classic looking watch on a leather strap with clasp deployment 38-40mm sub £1500 for my Dad so started looking at longines straight away but looking around something like a Hamilton Jazz master would probably do nicely and he liked the Seiko pressage tonneau when i showed it to him but can't seem to find stock so I'm not sure it had a uk release. Any suggestions?
