I think bragging about the efficiency of your private medical service doesn't read particularly well. Hence the tasteless comment.
Ah I see, maybe you didn't see the chat a few pages back where I was decrying the existence of a two tier healthcare system and acknowledging the level of priviliege required to go private.
As somebody who worked for the NHS for over a decade, and who has regularly posted about family members not receiving life saving care in recent years, and as somebody who has lost friends due to lack of NHS service availablity, I assumed it would go without saying that I see private healthcare as a very unpalatable and unfair direction for healthcare in this country.

No, I basically read the forum passively and certainly don't file any of the info as memorable unless about bikes/routes etc! Your comment came across as healthcare willy-waving which is particularly tasteless - especially to those of us having to wait for the machinations of the NHS. Apologies for missing the context.

Your post or in particular the 'tongue-in-cheek' closing comment is still tasteless or unpleasant or whatever, with or without your contextual posting. I think that criticism is fair - that individual post is not justified by the fact you abhor a two-tier health service.
