If someone falls for a scam do you blame them or the con artist who took their money?
A lot people who voted for Brexit did so based on lies that had been drip fed to them by various media outlets and "respected" politicians over the course of decades. As far as unions are concerned if most of the members of a union holds a particular political view do you honestly think that the leader of that union is going to stand up and tell their members they're wrong?
What if it's a scam that takes place slowly over several months and all the while you're telling that someone "don't tell them your PIN; it's a scam. Look I read this article about it..." and they still fall for it... well it's natural selection isn't it?
