Are you coming at it from the perspective of a manager, if so, would her being here create a business entity? This is the issue my wife had (she ended up quitting).
I believe the family permit will give ability to work in Spain.

Thanks for this. Yep, I am. Our company are (seemingly) happy enough with the business entity situation, the question at the moment is we need a visa that will enable her to work and for my employers to meet the necessary tax and legal obligations. Hopeful that you think the family permit may be viable, she is going to speak to some contacts tonight who may be able to shed more light on that. If anyone else knows more please do shout!
