Early signs of spring are with us.
Being able to drop the roof of the MX-5 coming off the motorway sliproad as opposed to having to pull over to do it (now that the vinyl isn't so stiff with the cold) is a glorious feeling.

Didn’t you get a full re-spray? Warranty?

Thats what happens when you store anything in a UK garage*
*Has no idea how long its been in garage. Just note from many motorbike + bike customers with weirdly rotten bikes.

They did treat it at the time -ground it back, used rust converter, then sealed it. But, it's a folded sheet - getting all the rust out is hard, and it doesn't look like it worked.
I'll replace it with a fresh panel (if still available from Porsche), hopefully the bodyshop will work with me on it in terms of price.

A Jimmy came up for sale on eBay last week. That was our car in the states, I very much toyed with bidding.

Beautiful people of the forum. Does anyone have any sage advice/pointers when looking at used Mini Countrymen. We're looking at 2013ish, basic bitch One variety. I was really hoping we'd get a Yeti but it seems she is averse to boxes on wheels. No taste.

I do guiltily love that AMC Eagle wagon. The fusion of brown, orange and faux wood is truly a sight to behold, and could only represent 70's America more if it had Burt Reynolds with his shirt undone to his navel and half a dozen cheerleaders in it.
Nice to see the first week of nice weather has brought the classics out of hibernation. I spotted this today, and for my vintage taste cars don't really get much better looking than this.
Designed by Bertone's Marcelo Gandini, quite a rarity in RHD too, one of only 71 RHD models made, spotless 1977 Maserati Khamsin.

Just in case anyone is looking for a VAG specialist in South East, I took my car to Autocraft in Woolwich today for a service and all good. Guy that runs it (Sean) is pretty sound.
As it was the first service before I handed over the keys he was straight up about using OEM parts, oil, etc. but said that being non-dealer it may affect resale value as opposed to going to main dealer... As it's leased I couldn't give two shits and I'm sure they did a better job than WJ King in Bromley did with my last car.

wow. that's a pretty wild spot. amazing.
looks like on The Mall too. in the heat of central London gridlock. hell yeah
that Metro (or Rover whatever it became) and trailer is wonderful. Something that could only put a smile on your face if you saw it coming down the street.
