  • @stevo_com take a test ride with child obvs, my kid loves it. Also Fully Charged are clueless about the bike itself, they cannot answer basic bike mechanic questions, they generally say 'bring the bike to the shop' and to that I say no, hence the rohloff and belt drive. We use the bike every day vs I drove my car 3 months ago.

  • Kinda surprises me they don't have much hands on experience. Or maybe they do, they just don' spout about it on the internet like me.

Yuba Spicy curry, rode one the other day and yeah, spacious. Bigger than Tern, bigger than Benno Boost in the rear. Sure its parts aren't quite as swish, but unless your a heavy duty user I'd be quite happy with one of those.

Benno Boost > Tern GSD in terms of bike + accessories quality. And a GSD mk2 removing the rear wheel is a grey hair inducing affair (go back a few pages). They do genuinely fit everyone though, and you don't need any tools to achieve that. So for regular rider swapping, yup. With a Rohloff is a mad amount of money, also not quite sure where the £3k comes from, as from what I can see you have bought a full bike at full retail, then they've thrown away rear wheel and most of the gear stuff, then sold you a Rohloff at full retail, and an extra battery. And then yet still charging more? Maybe it has fancier other parts that isn't on the spec sheet?

Two locals to me have GSD with the dog house. Both thought it was great, until they used it a few times and quickly got bored of the flaps and velco/zips etc inserting and unserting kiddo's. Obviously weather is now better, but one has just sold the dog house as they won't use it again.

Try a spicy curry if you can find one nearby. If you go GSD mk2 defo go regular external gears, or full Rohloff. Don't bother with the cheaper IGH. And fit a tracker. GSD popularity = most popular stolen cargo by now i'm sure. Another one has walked from Glasgow last week. Dark grey or black mk2 single battery I think.

  • Fully Charged have always been helpful for me. We've had a few issues with our Urban Arrows and trailer that they've managed to sort out fairly rapidly. I think they have a cargo specialist mechanic in a couple of days a week so maybe you just need to catch them on the right day.
