  • I'll be interested to see how that works - my first version was just a perforated rim which was successful in arranging uniform hand stitching in 3D, but I struggled with fabric tension - the ends became Pringle shaped, with additional wrinkles.
    The second version (in the sewing thread) has a filled centre which gives a convenient surface for contact adhesive to hold the fabric flat while everything is pulled tight.
    I did contemplate a central captive nut to fit a light mount - perhaps in the next version...

    I think this is pretty good, it's not super tight like a drum. The reason I didn't do a full disc was impatience. 3d printing is slow....
