Vintage profile stem with no cap, suggestions pls

Posted on
  • Recently picked up this profile stem but upon arrival I realised there is no cap to cover the top…

Stuck on what to do to remedy this problem, as I assume it came with a plastic cap new which has been lost along the way. Also, with it being cut at an angle and being an oval shape, it means I can’t buy a regular circular stem cap to replace.

Ideally, I’d want to have a metal cap, with a matching shade but I’m probably being a bit too optimistic on that. So any suggestions on how to cover it up are much appreciated!

    Thanks :)

  • Buy a new one and take the cap off it

  • I use a handlebar end plug on my Controltech quill stem.

  • Will deffo consider this

  • Looks like that could be the perfect fit to be fair, but then I’d have another capless profile stem 😆😆 ♾♾

  • Inventive, I like it 😎
