Apparently he's regained consciousness and there will be a press release issued shortly. Scary.

Good that it sounds like he’s improved.
Sad that he’s so young. -

Exactly what I thought… hope he recovers.

Pidcock’s coach says he won’t race till they sort out his “stomach issues” having blood tests etc.

Jesus. I was just popping in here to see if anyone watched/noticed Matthews win. That's terrible to hear.

It was a decent win on a long drag. On commentary they said Colbrelli might have been feeling the after-effects of an illness. Maybe he was pushing too hard too soon.

Yeah, I heard on the finish video someone mentioned he was sick the week before. So, I'm hopeful it's related to this rather than something more serious.

He pulled out of Milan-San Remo at the weekend due to recovering from bronchitis

Have we had this yet?
Rumoured salaries of the top 20 best paid riders in the world. Original research was done by an Italian sporting agency, so no-one knows how accurate it actually is. But there's some eye-opening salaries there, which goes to show that often your salary is based as much on your past performance as your recent results.

Presumably some of those are at the end of reasonably long contracts, but some poorly spent cash there overall.

French riders command a premium with French sponsors. This applies to other nationalities too.

Simon must be pissed.
Froome well…jokes. -

No Cav? Perhaps his personal sponsors deals don’t count.
Quintana seems expensive…
Pog seems to be a ‘we can’t afford to lose him’ salary. But do you have him or
Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma): €2.2 million
AND
Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma): €2.0 million
AND
Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix): €2.0 million -

I find that Viviani salary particularly odd. That might be what Cofidis were paying him, as a stage win in the Tour is something they are desperate for (not that he actually delivered that) but I can’t see Ineos, even with their budget, needing to pay that much to get him. I think it’s a safe assumption that Ganna will be on more than Viviani too.

I don’t think Cavendish has been troubling the top earners for the past five years. His contract at Bahrain was close to minimum wage from what I can gather, with performance bonuses, and I think it’s pretty clear last year’s deal at DQS was the same, as Leferve said as much in the media.

Would bike specific sponsorship come through team salary or another route?
Very worrying indeed
