I’m using a audax-type geometry with a dropped top tube, which seems stable and allows a step over the top tube without having to invest in weekly yoga lessons.
Happens to be a Roberts, which I picked up for not too much cash. Perhaps not much help in terms of searching for a particular frame, but the shape seems to work well.
Happily did 38km with front panniers and picnic yesterday with a 3.5 year old.
Found a smaller Roberts clubman compact frame for my wife and #2 and she gets on well with that.
