What wheels are they?
-
• #15128
they look liker older clincher reynolds assault
-
• #15129
yes.. nearly... old reynolds attack. Rear hub has been replaced with DA.
-
• #15130
nice build, i wonder what pricing will be advised, no idea myself.

decided it was summer bike time, went tubeless and put some praxis rings on - feeling like i've dragged the 2008 supersix into the late 2010s at least

Very, very nice. Proportions look great.

Stem, bar, hoods. Just spot on.
Hadn’t noticed how skinny the stays are on those early S6s. Lovely bike.
Is that a 54t? With an 11-25?
-
• #15134
Not sure on pricing but I'd buy the frameset off you in a heartbeat if it's a 56
-
• #15135
Size please.
-
• #15136
As above. I think it's 54, but if it's 52cm I'm super keen
-
• #15137
Yep its a 54
-
• #15138
They are insanely thin stays, bit odd combined with a 31.6 seatpost but I love how they look, especially with the classic wave like on earlier Caads.
Not a 54t lol, only a 52/36 with 11-25. It's just what I had lying around but I don't mind it tbh, not afraid to use the little ring ;)

Beautiful build. Keen on pricing but glad it is a 54 and not a 56 or else I would have been seeing what high-interest payday loans I could have contacted.

another in the don't know how to price it camp. but it is a beauty. and annoyingly is my size. so don't go too low with the pricing!

If you’re selling on here, the forum spirit has always been ‘roughly what it cost you’.
But I’d say a sought after frame with a barely used ~£900 groupset (plus fairly old wheels and other bits) should be worth at least £1200. As always you’d do better parting it out.

sought after frame
Ish. The CAAD 7 is the one to have
-
• #15143
£900 groupset
Ho, ly, shit, thought that was a typo, that's gone up a bit from the last time i looked!
Forum spirit is what i follow but it does make selling a bike to a start a new project trickier these days. I just sold my Capo for what i paid but it's not made much of a dent in my new frame cost.

Ho, ly, shit, thought that was a typo.
Same here, had to double check. That's a 100% increase from when I bought mine!
-
• #15145
if it was a 58 i'd have bitten your hand off
-
• #15146
makes me think i should up the individual insurance value for my bikes.
it'd be a lot more expensive to replace like for like since last year... -
• #15147
a barely used ~£900 groupset
youre joking right?? £300/400 max
-
• #15148
He is saying that to get rolling with a full new 8000 groupset, the price is now over 900£ online...
which is scary -
• #15149
What’s weird about the groupset prices is that retailers are selling them way closer to RRP than before.
I was surprised that Planet X have stopped speccing Shimano on their bikes but perhaps this explains it.

selling them way closer to RRP than before.
Pent-up demand/continued poor-supply. Once/if that balances, discounts will return.
I'm thinking about selling this. Groupset is brand new and only ever been used on the turbo. Any interest/ideas on price?
