I like restoring old frames and this is a problem I run into more often that you'd expect! I have a couple of old BSA cups with notches like this to chase the threads:

But it doesn't always work if the threads are really bad so I'd just like to have something more professional at home

Ah you're right, I didn't even notice that! Does it make that much of a difference to justify the price difference? I guess they are both good deals but I've never had a tool like this so not sure what to look out for
