I am not a fan of roman numerals (usually), but that is rather exquisite

Jealous of everyone's solar/world time after replacing the battery in this one this week and having to faff resetting the analogue hands to match the digital time. Lots of thoughts about a metal 5610 lately, but double g-shocks feels redundant.

So nice i tried one on with the fine metal bracelet and almost took a deep breath and bought it but even on sale was still over budget for me.

Did some home baked brushing on the polished case. Not perfect but much better than before (green washing up scourer)

Seiko quartz diver that I picked up on here. It's incredibly slim and lightweight compared to most other dive watches I own. I'd like a modern equivalent but not really sure what there is, Timex Q is a fair bit chunkier.

Tells the time in German too ;)

How did you do it?

Literally with the green side of a washing up sponge . Just try to brush in straight lines and in one direction only. It doesn’t look great up close, I might send it off for a pro job or bead blast.

So far I am pretty happy with it.

My biggest fear was that it would be too large. Whilst it looks pretty big in the image I posted, 'on the wrist' it looks pretty well proportioned. Also, it's a lot lighter and more comfortable that I anticipated. I find quite a lot of my watches uncomfortable, and I often take them off as a reflex.

The finish on the case is very highly polished, so I'll probably limit the amount I wear it to keep it that way.
