Came with the frame when I bought it from eBay. Are unbutchered Gios forks a rare thing?
-
• #4378
Lucky you :) No, just 1" threaded forks with enough steerer to go threadless are.

Oh, it's not threaded. :-)

Even better. Nice bike, would ride.

Little ring sadly but here's my Merckx Strada OS. Not sure about the yellow pantographed tape, but had a go at wrapping it top down and superglued in place so it's staying for now.

Careful, rear brake pad isn't well centered

Just finished a retro build with new bits but the wheels I planned to use (25mm external carbon rims with 25c tyres) just catch the rear brake calliper so are a no go (annoyingly clears the brake bridge but not the calliper).
So I tried a Mavic r sys which has 19mm external with a 25c tyres and that clears nicely. Not keen on the look of the Mavic r sys so considering wheel options with 19mm in either all black or all silver rims.
Anyone got anything suitable they are looking to sell or ideas/options appreciated.

I reckon te rims look good

Those wheels are nice tho.
Not sure this is legit mechanics, but if it’s close can you add a spacer between caliper and frame to bring it out a bit and readjust pads?
Otherwise I’d personally live with a mismatched caliper. (Oh the shame).
I imagine that’s not a good solution tho.

Oh come on are you mocking us? That bike is way too nice to be posting such shitty pics of

ha ha. But with a duff rear wheel it doesn't feel finished. Its not been ridden yet.
For me the blinging pics cant come until its finished !! Paint looks great in the sun though. -

Very nice.
What bottom bracket are you using?
I've also got a SRAM Crankset which is BB30, which I'll be trying to stick on a BSA frame.Wondering if you've had the same issue?

lovely looking bike - I've got some DT Swiss Oxic (23mm external I think, 19 internal) laced to bitex hubs if you wanna swap? what are the wheels pictured?
-
• #4399
The chainset is GXP so I just used a scram GXP BB with an ITA thread. Simples.

Unfortunately I don't think 23mm is going to work. I will keep the current wheels for another bike. For info the wheels are Light Bicycle R25 rims on Carbon Ti hubs.
Where did you take that photo nice build.
