Free cycle: argos 853 with damage

As per the title. Bought this from here with the idea of respraying it. Any had it blasted to reveal damage to the seat tube. I understand the damage is from a stuck carbon seat post that was removed. Good few holes eroded right through the frame.

Any way free if anyone wants a project or a frame to cut up for a lamp!! Neat welding and cool tube shapes.

What size and where are you based?

Yes. Those are fair questions, got carried away loading photos ... based in Se19 crystal palace. Top tube 54 ctc, seat tube 53.5ctc.

I've got this frame and haven't done anything with it. I would have liked to one day but I don't think it will be any time soon and I've run out of storage space.
It's as it was in the photos here and is available now in Putney if anyone else wants to do something with it

Ihad the same issue with my 853 ex Dangerfield Argos had the seat post replaced when having it rresprayed cost £150 for the tube replacement in 853.

I've still got it if anyone wants to go that route ^

I wonder if this could be repaired just by sliding/ gluing a sleeve down the seat tube?
