Finally a good performance at the hawthorns. First I’ve see this season.
Boing boing.

Harry Maguire can’t catch a break at the moment https://twitter.com/britain_mp4/status/1501130830906855424?s=24

shame on you Eddie Howe.

When you read articles with lines like this on BBC sport:
Howe was criticised for not commenting on Saudi Arabia executing 81 men in one day following Sunday's loss to Chelsea
It makes you wonder what sort of pressure opposing teams feel. Clearly they want to win but if doing so leads to mass executions it does present a moral dilemma.

Martin Tyler. He always gets the big games and he drives me round the fucking bend! Every match going off on his low volume, mumbled tangents. Barely ever actually commentating on the game. Say some of the players names you bastard!
Oh how I long for a turn commentary off option.

He used to be great about 15 years ago. Sadly agree with you now.

Looking at the runners and riders to buy Chelsea, you've got some Yank who's given millions to Trump, one of those odious Candy brothers, Sebastian cunting Coe, a Spurs fan and Saudi Arabia. At least they're all good fits for the club.

Obligatory West Ham appreciation post.

Bonkers game at goodison last night. We were poor for much of it but the goal was a thing of beauty.

The crunching tackle to set it off and that reverse pass. Lovely.
-
• #160714
That was a crucial tackle. If Coleman misses it, there’s an absolutely huge gap on our right for them to attack.

Brentford, Watford, Leeds and now Everton all winning in the past week. I'm starting to think that Burnley may go down.
-
• #160716
After last night, I'm slightly less resigned to us going down than I was. But it's well in the balance, we were still rubbish for large parts of the game. Big games away at Vicarage road and Turf moor will probably decide the season for us.

cracking goal by Everton with ten men.
don't play Pickford. keep cleansheet. just a coincidence? i think not -
• #160718
sad. but is starting to look pretty bleak for them. hoping you can turn it round yet.

• #160719
Burnley have a pretty reasonable run-in compared to Everton but having won only 3 all season it will take a fair turnaround to actually manage it.

One of the best nights (football-wise) of this hammer's life. Still buzzing, despite the sore head, this morning. I'm really hoping we get Rangers in the next round, both legs would be really special.

Footballers, eh.

so they managed to pull 8 balls out of a goldfish bowl without fucking it up
well done uefabayern will be tricky if we get to through the first two games, glad chelsea and athleti are in the other half of the draw though

They've played everyone. If they'd done it the right way round it probably wouldn't have got very far. Doing it this way, everyone posts it to laugh at them, but the message is still clear and gets out further.
