    Every time you ride a CTT event, you sign a form stating that the event will be held under the Rules and Regulations of Cycling Time Trials as shown in the current Handbook and confirm that you are conversant with such Rules and Regulations and undertake to abide by them

    It's surprising (or not, given that modern people have been programmed to accept terms without reading them) how many people have never read the regulations before taking part.

  • I just have a quick look around at everyone else and if what I'm riding, wearing and doing looks similar to everyone else i assume I'm going to be fine and just tick and sign without ever reading the rules. I have since had a quick scan of the British Triathlon rules after being DQ'd for the most minor infringement (going the wrong way around a cone coming into T2) in a race i won. I was sulking for weeks after that one
