• Is anyone here interested in Chris Froome's comments on TT bikes?

    You will need to fast forward about the first seven minutes of this since he's just talking about himself.

    However, to his credit he does say that doing away with TT bikes, which he advocates, would actually disadvantage him.

    His basic thesis is that TT bikes are dangerous, especially when ridden under training conditions on non closed roads, and he asks whether the sport (I think he means professional cycling) would lose anything if TT's had to be ridden on normal road bikes.

    My first question here is: would CTT events follow the lead of the pros if they did go back to TT's on road bikes?

    Well, they already have that covered with Reg.14a. Head-down is already a DQ-able offence on the very rare occasions that anybody bothers to check for it, and seems to be neither more nor less likely if tribars are banned.
