We had originally hoped to reuse the original tiles but A) they were fucked, B) there weren't anywhere near enough of them that were still in one piece C) it's nigh on impossible to get reclaimed ones D) the new versions are half the thickness which made mixing and matching nearly impossible. Below shows the new path compared to the neighbour's, whose tiles are in better shape than ours were. We also wanted to re-use the original barley twist rope edge border tiles, but they had been broken and set into concrete by previous iterations of cowboy landscapers.
